The Burton STEP ON® system connects specially designed boots directly to the matching bindings. Step in with your heel, engage the forefoot – and you're connected. There's no need to repeatedly open, thread and tighten traditional binding straps.
The biggest advantage becomes especially clear on the mountain: step in faster, step out easily and spend less time dealing with your bindings. After your lift ride, getting back in takes just a few simple movements. Boot and binding are designed as one integrated system and engineered to work together.

The Burton STEP ON® boot connects directly to the STEP ON® binding at three defined points: once at the heel and twice on either side of the forefoot.
First, the heel locks into the Heel Clip. Then the two Toe Cleats on the boot connect with the binding's Toe Hooks.
Once all three connection points are fully engaged, the boot and binding form the direct connection designed for the STEP ON® system – without traditional binding straps.
The connection point at the heel of the boot engages with the binding's Heel Clip. It forms the rear connection point of the STEP ON® system.
The two Toe Cleats are positioned on the left and right sides of the forefoot. They connect the forefoot of the boot with the binding's Toe Hooks.
The spring-loaded Toe Hooks engage the Toe Cleats and hold the forefoot in its intended position.
The principle is deliberately simple: engage the heel first, then the forefoot – and you're ready to ride.
Step into the binding heel first and press the Heel Cleat into the Heel Clip until you can hear and feel the connection engage.
Then press the forefoot down. The two Toe Cleats engage with the Toe Hooks on the left and right sides of the binding.
Check that all connection points are fully engaged. The STEP ON® system is then ready to ride.
Before stepping in, secure the rear cuff of your snowboard pants with the designated clip on the STEP ON® boot. This keeps the pant leg clear of the area between the boot and binding and ensures the connection points remain unobstructed when engaging the system.
No opening and closing traditional binding straps. Step in, lock in and ride. The advantage of the Burton STEP ON® system becomes especially clear over repeated lift runs: fewer steps at the binding and more focus on snowboarding.
